Well, freshly bathed and refreshed after seven days straight at work I sit in front of my computer, delete my daily spam and turn to you gentle readers of my life. All none of you!
Still, nice to get my thoughts out in the open any-hoo. Such as the latest with The Enemy Within campaign. My Grave Robber-turned-Cat Burglar has finally earned his reputation by robbing a moderately wealthy merchants house. Net gain was almost 200 gold crowns, some gems and a couple of bits of jewellry. Had a little trouble with the Watch, but outran them fine!
And at work, myself and my colleague Steve have been working on a web tool. It’s not fancy, but its smart looking and will do the job a treat. Hoping our annual bonuses are in the bag for that!
Now, to ponder what to do on Monday and Tuesday… the cinema may be calling!

The Enemy Within Campaign moves on apace as our valiant party (now an Outlaw, Toll Keeper, Spy and myself a Cat Burglar) flee Bogenhafen. Half a days travel later (and a few mutants dispatched) sees us in the possession of a boat, replete with cargo of wool.
Quick travel to Weissbruck gets us involved with rescuing a local herbalist from some gang members, before hiring an actual boatman for the journey to Altdorf. Once in Altdorf we made a few purchases, and took on another cargo - this one bound for Kemperbad. That was the session pretty much in a nutshell.
Other points of note for my character - harassed by some more Purple Hand nuts (who made my hand purple!), found my name on a Wanted poster (20GC on my head, not bad… I’m holding out for more!)
Next session due Thursday next!

Well, finished another roleplay session in the wonderful world of Warhammer. Today saw the completion of the Shadows over Bogenhafen adventure (converted to version 2 by Mike) which netted me enough experience points not only to switch to the Cat Robber career, but also to take a couple of statistic advancements (Agility) and new Skills (Concealment, Pick Lock) and Talents (Trapfinder).
Also managed to make my first break-in this session but alas was into a warehouse full of trade goods so nothing good to loot. And along with firsts, I managed to net two Insanity Points.
The Sunday session has been moved to Tuesdays to compensate for Mike being away for the next few weeks which means we move over to Death on the Reik in two days time. Hopefully I’ll get the chance to do some proper thieving now I can break and enter, as well as keep fairly hidden. Fun times - only 1500 XP to get to Master Thief or Fence (not decided which yet!)

Irritating facts…
- This is the second weekend on the trot I’ve had to work
- Both weekends have had lovely weather I’d have liked to been out in
- Today, my erstwhile partner for the weekend called in sick
- This morning, the phones were ludicrously busy for a Saturday
This does not a happy Andy make.
On the upside, I’ev watched Doctor Who as I always do of a weekend (whether it be on Saturday or Sunday after “borrowing a copy”) and found it a little fragmented. Not particularly bad, just fragmented.
Spending my evening watching the ever excellent Firefly so no great shakes - can’t do much else seeing how I have work tomorrow as well.
Also, irritatingly, City of Villains still reuses to play correctly on my PC since the last patch or two - apparently the devs have tracked down a problem and a fix is coming but… well, it ain’t here yet!

… I don’t update my journal!
Yes, I’ve not written anything for months, since really nothing notable has happened in that time. Been to a live roleplay event, finished the Ravenloft Campaign, started the Warhammer Campaign, chatted to people online, attended my new job regularly, overcome the infection of my gums.
Fairly full schedule of not much happening.

I called in ill for work - I didn’t get a bit of sleep all Friday and it was far to distracting. Well, I say called, I actually contacted my team manager by MSN. Joy of a technologically sound company.
Been taking painkillers and swilling my mouth out with antiseptic mouthwash all weekend but hasn’t got any better - I may have to do the calling in ill thing again, and see about harassing a dentist to sort the whole bally thing out for me.
We’ll see how I feel in the morning.

What? You thought that because I replaced ZRN with a blog that I’d update it any more frequently? Foolish, foolish people!
Went to the cinema this evening with my housemate for the thoroughly enjoyable V for Vendetta. I came out of the cinema “singing” da-da dadada-da da *boom*. If you’ve seen it, you may know what I mean
Had some very nice Orwell’s 1984 analogies - I’m going to have to read the original comics now though, to see what about the big screen implementation irked Alan Moore.
On a bit of a down side I have a swollen mouth, caused by something to do with a wisdom tooth. I’m either going through teething again, or I may (I suspect) have some kind of abscess which is playing merry hell with me. Going to take a painkiller and go to bed soon.
If it hasn’t cleared up by the morning I’m very tempted to call in ill to work (even though I’ve only just started) because it is far too distracting to concentrate, and is interfering with speaking.

Well, I’m awake - had a lie in and feel slightly more awake for it though no less depressed. Yes, i got depressed last night. What else is new.
While having my morning/afternoon bath I finished Angie Sage’s Flyte - her second book about the boy-wizard Septimus Heap. Yes, it is a book aimed at children, but because of it it’s light reading and allows me to fit it in nicely when I have the odd-half-hour. Was leant to me by a dear friend - she recommended them to me.
Tonight shall mainly be taken up with laundry for work on Monday, and possibly having something to eat. Although I’m still mostly full from the green thai curry Ni cooked last night.

If you’re wondering about the lateness of this post, then wonder no longer - next door sound like they are having a bit of a tiff, and the banging on the front door and shouting woke me up!
Been a little bit depressing tonight - I got in fine from work but almost immediately went to bed and only woke up long enough to have a quick phone chat with gentle^star and to eat something. Bit of a non-evening really.
Course, now I’m awake at almost 3am, and I have to be up at 7am. Crap.

Was my first day at the new office today - it went well. After having a talk about the company direction and business plans it was to the desks to listen in on calls and shadow a few of the existing guys.
Seems like something of a reunion - all the tech staff worked for ClientLogic at one time or another so it’s actually very comfortable. I have a project or two that I may be able to take under my wing already so I’m off to a reasonable start.
Not quite used to the early mornings yet though!
